Choosing the wrong shampoo or conditioner can worsen your hair condition instead of improving it.
Another important factor is how often you wash your hair. Many people believe that washing hair more frequently keeps it cleaner, but in reality, this can strip away the natural oils that protect the scalp. As a result, hair becomes dry, weak, and more prone to breakage. The ideal frequency is usually 2–3 times per week, depending on your environment and hair type.
In addition, water temperature also has a significant impact on hair health. Hot water can open the hair cuticle, causing moisture loss and making hair frizzy. Instead, you should use lukewarm water and finish with a cool rinse to help keep your hair smooth and shiny.
The use of heat styling tools such as hair dryers, straighteners, and curling irons is another major cause of hair damage over time. If you frequently style your hair, make sure to use heat protection products to minimize damage. Whenever possible, let your hair air-dry naturally.
A small habit that has a big impact is how you dry your hair. Rubbing your hair vigorously with a towel can damage the strands and lead to breakage. Instead, use a soft towel and gently pat your hair dry.
Finally, consistency is key. You cannot expect your hair to transform in just a few days. Proper hair care takes time and regular effort. When you maintain good habits, strong and healthy hair will gradually become a natural result.
